An open-air cinema where two films are shown at the same time? That's exactly what happened this year at the Open-Air-SchanzenKino. A nationwide unique concept that will be going into its second round next year.
Every year, the Schanzenkino attracts numerous cineastes to Schanzenpark to watch current films and classics on the big screen on warm summer nights. This year, for the first time, you could choose between two films in one evening. This is made possible by an inflatable frame into which a screen is hung at the front and back, creating two seating areas.
The sound is transmitted via wireless headphones - the volume can be individually adjusted and distracting ambient noise is eliminated. In one of the cinemas, it will even be possible to switch between the German audio version and the original language. So you can also enjoy the mix of blockbusters, arthouse films, previews and cult films in the open air next year.
