The "Boosting Impact - From Facts to Fiction" programme is coming to Hamburg! The initiative of the European Writers Club (EWC) and Le Groupe Ouest is looking for six series projects from six different countries that are based on or inspired by thoroughly researched true events.
"Boosting Impact" promotes collaboration between the world of journalists, scientists, Documentaries, podcasters, etc. and the world of serial storytellers. The goal: to tell relevant, important and compelling stories based on true events.
The programme consists of two one-week camps and a final two-day pitch conference, which will take place in Hamburg (8-12 April 2024), Madrid (10-14 June 2024) and Copenhagen (2 days in September 2024).
During the "Boosting Impact" phase, your team will explore the original material of your project from different angles and perspectives. The potential of your project will be expanded and strengthened through various creative methods based on the findings of cognitive neuroscience, psychology and prewriting tools. The goal is for your series to be ready for commission.
The concept team must consist of a Script Writer, an Executive Producer and a journalist/scientist/documentary maker etc. on whose research the idea is based. The team must be in the concept development stage at the time of application (not in the script stage). To find out more about the application requirements,click here.
