In Ali Samadi Ahadi's drama5 days (330,000 euros, brave new work, Hamburg), women's rights activist Maryam is torn: should she put herself in danger and fight for human rights in Iran or live in freedom and peace with her family in Hamburg? The film will have three shooting days in the Hanseatic city.

Hille Norden's film is about two former schoolmatesFucking for freedom (250,000 euros, Leitwolf Filmproduktion, Hamburg): Nore and Jonna meet again by chance in their early twenties and move in together. In conversations, it becomes clear that Nore was never the precocious "femme fatale" who both admired and bullied Jonna, but experienced sexual assault as a young girl. While Nore struggles to reclaim the narrative for herself, a genuine friendship develops. The script for "Ficken für Freiheit" has already been nominated for the German Screenplay Award. There will be 22 days of filming in Hamburg - filming is scheduled to start in April 2024.

Set in Russia in 2004, the coming of age filmShort Summer (230,000 euros, Tamtam Film, Hamburg) by Director and Script Writer Nastia Korkia, who lives in exile in Hamburg: While her grandparents negotiate the end of their relationship, seven-year-old Katya spends one last summer with them in the country before she starts school. War is raging in nearby Chechnya, and Katya experiences a summer full of adventure, tenderness and hardship. Korkia wrote the script with Mikhail Bushkov.

In Mate UgrinsPetty thieves (120,000 euros, Fünferfilm, Hamburg), young Rio ekes out a living with petty theft on the Adriatic coast. His life changes when Andrea becomes his accomplice.

Directors and Script Writer Wilfried Hauke from Kiel dedicates his documentary biopicThe window in Stockholm (100,000 euros, IDA Film & TV Produktion, Kiel) follows the life of Astrid Lindgren - at a time when she was still unknown: the young Swede keeps a diary during the Second World War, finds herself in a deep life crisis and discovers the power of writing. The film was shot for a week in the subsidised region. Hauke wrote the script together with Hermann Pölking.
