Helge Albers, CEO of MOIN Film Fund Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein: "The successful journey for Matthias Glasner's film 'Sterben' continues: after the Silver Bear at the Berlinale, there were now nine nominations at the German Film Awards, and rightly so. An intense drama with an outstanding acting ensemble, the film was shot in Hamburg for almost three weeks. Further congratulations go to Hamburg filmmaker Ayşe Polat, who was nominated in the Feature Film, Directors and Script categories for her exciting genre mix 'In the Blind Spot'. Also strong: there were four nominations for the film 'Stella. Ein Leben' by Hamburg-based Directors Kilian Riedhof. We are keeping our fingers crossed for all the nominated film teams!
