German-Turkish co-productions are currently in high demand. The cultural exchange between the regions that border on the Bosporus has proven to be successful for a number of years now.
In order to ensure an early as well as lasting support in matters production development, the Turkish Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs and the co-production market of the Istanbul Film Festival “Meetings on the Bridge” have founded the German-Turkish Co-Production Development Fund together with the regional funding institutions Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein (FFHSH) and Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg (Medienboard) in 2011.

On occasion of the 31st Istanbul International Film Festival - »Meetings on the Bridge« 2012 the following seven projects were selected and presented to the public:
