The counselling session is aimed at first-time applicants, especially for up-and-coming filmmakers and film school graduates with projects of all genres. Each session takes place with a maximum of five participants and lasts around one hour. In addition to general information, there is also room for individual questions during this time. We will advise you on the following application types during this session:
Project development
Production for feature-length fiction and documentary films
Production for short films (feature films, documentaries, experimental films)
We will give you a brief introduction to Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein, including information such as:
which committees are there?
how long does it take from the application to the decision?
how do the application types for feature-length fiction and documentary films differ?
who is eligible to apply?
what conditions are attached to the awarding of funding?
what counts as a regional effect?
what happens if the application is successful?
There are also detailed explanations of the digital application process and we tell you which attachments are important for which type of application. This is followed by a general assessment of your project, which covers the following points:
is the project set up in the best possible way?
how realistic is the financing?
is the planned application amount realistic?
is the upcoming submission deadline for my project realistic?
The appointments are (with the exception of the consultation appointments in the short film section) cross-committee, registration is mandatory. Before an application for funding can be submitted on one of the submission dates, a counselling appointment must be attended at least two weeks in advance.
Access data for the digital database for the application will only be provided after attending the counselling appointment.
